Dr. José Sánchez García is Post-Doctoral researcher in the University of Lleida and member of the research Group on Youth and Society. Currently he is Ethnographic Fieldwork Coordinator of SAHWA Project (www.sahwa.eu). He obtained his PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology, and researched the relationship between piety and music in Pakistanis collectives in Barcelona; gender identities in Gulf countries; and youth cultures in Egypt. He has published several chapters and articles on Arab Youth issues as “Revolution against Youth: Youth Political Movements and discursive productions in Egyptian insurrection” in The System is against us; “From ‘Hara’ to ‘Midam’: Urban Politic Spaces of Youth in Cairo” in Youth, Space and Time: Agoras and Chronotopes in the Global City among others.
