Dr. José Sánchez García is Post-Doctoral researcher in the University of Lleida and member of the research Group on Youth and Society. Currently he is Ethnographic Fieldwork Coordinator of SAHWA Project (www.sahwa.eu [1]). He obtained his PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology, and researched the relationship between piety and music in Pakistanis collectives in Barcelona; gender identities in Gulf countries; and youth cultures in Egypt. He has published several chapters and articles on Arab Youth issues as “Revolution against Youth: Youth Political Movements and discursive productions in Egyptian insurrection” in The System is against us; “From ‘Hara’ to ‘Midam’: Urban Politic Spaces of Youth in Cairo” in Youth, Space and Time: Agoras and Chronotopes in the Global City among others.
